Bobby Stevens was nominated for the Excellence in Education Award. as Mr. Stevens is a passionate educator who continues to give of himself to his students. Mr. Stevens is always welcoming to his students, and making them feel like a valued member of Notre Dame Academy. He always fist bumps his students, greets them with a hello, or tells them that "they rock," whenever he sees them. Mr. Stevens makes his students feel welcomed, and they feel valued when interacting with him. This year Mr Stevens taught Spanish, but also introduced Arabic to our students, where he has been able to take his experiences in traveling and living in the Middle East to passionately teach, and educate his students in learning the Arabic language, as well as learning about Middle Eastern cultures. When Mr. Stevens is not teaching, he is running an Arabic Club for students after school, helping with Intramural Sports, as well as coaching Varsity Soccer and Track for Notre Dame Academy. It is evident that Mr. Stevens is passionate about teaching and he truly cares about getting to know his students, in learning about who they are as people, and finding ways to make an impact and impression in their lives.
