NDA offers many services to help every student succeed.
- PBIS: Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports
- Incentive behavior program recognizing students by using positive reinforcement
- Title I Math & Reading: Academic intervention support to ensure learning and continued growth in Math and Reading. Time is set aside before and during school for lessons.
- Second Step Early Learning: Social emotional program for PK 3/4 & K
- Scholastics: Extra help with Literacy Pro, Scholastic World, Scholastic First & Scholastic News
- Social Workers and Counselors: One available at each building
- Staff member available from BOCES to help in special education
- Push in & pull-out services from outside group available for OT/PT/Speech
- Community Service requirements for middle school students
- Partner with Timon & Mercy with 8th graders for Advanced Math
- 8th Graders offer tutoring after school at Abbott
- Therapy dog, Jasper, available to all grades
We have an indoor playground that was installed in the Summer of 2023. This will be utilized by all Prek and Kindergarten classes for recess when we are not able to go outside.
