It is a great privilege for me to be the religion teacher for grades 1-8 at NDA. My goal in the classroom is to provide opportunities for my students to encounter Jesus and help them to discover the joy that comes from a relationship with God.
Through prayer, scripture study, participation in the sacraments, studying the truths of the catholic faith, class discussions, journaling, and various service opportunities our students will discover the deep joy and fulfillment that comes from taking an active part in the life of the church. With that, our hope is that their personal faith in Jesus Christ will continue to grow and be the foundation of everything they do in life.
A little bit about me:
I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a double major in Theology, Catechetics and a minor in Youth Ministry. I spent many years in parish and urban youth ministry, as well as parish faith formation and sacramental preparation. Previous to joining the incredible team at NDA I spent over a decade as a teacher at an inner-city catholic homeschool CO-OP. Sharing the love of God with others is my greatest passion but I also love the great outdoors. I spend much of my free time camping, hiking, kayaking, fishing, and enjoying quality time with my family.
