Student Activities at Notre Dame Academy

NDA Cross Country

Our Cross Country team consists of runners from 5th-8th grade, who participate in weekly meets at Cazenovia Park which runs from September through October.  The season consists of 4 league meets which consist of a girls 1.5 mile races and a boys 1.5 mile race and a final all Catholic Meet at the end of the season.  Each week the races averaged 80 female runners and 100 male runners from Catholic and private schools all over WNY. 

2024

The NDA Cross Country Team won the Diocesan League Championship and came in 1st for the Girls in the Regular Season and 2nd for the Boys in the Regular Season.

2023

Our Girls capped off their undefeated season with an All Catholic Title. First Team All Catholic Honors were awarded to: Felicity Keough (2nd place), Leah McCrea (4th place), while Second Team All Catholic Honors were awarded to Madelyn Przybyszewski (6th place) and Nora Bloom (8th place).

Our Boys team passed St Marks in the All Catholic Championship. After finishing the regular season in 2nd place the Boys stormed back with an All Catholic victory. First Team All Catholic Honors were awarded to: Nathan Wodaje, who placed second in a photo finish and Charlie Krug also receive All Catholic Honors finishing in 5th place. Owen Krug received Second Team All Catholic Honors with a 9th place finish.

2022

  • The individual champion was Thomas Bell of Notre Dame Academy with a time of 9:07. One hundred and six boys competed in cross country!
  • The girls team placed 2nd overall in the league and 2nd at the all Catholic Meet out of 13 teams we’d like to recognize 8th graders Keira Quinn, Natalie McOwen, Abby McCarthy and 7th grader Leah McCrea. 
  • The boys team who placed 1st in the league and 2nd at the all catholic meet we’d like to recognize  8th graders Tommy Bell, Billy Doll and Jack Marren and 7th graders Charlie Krug, Owen Krug and Brian Frankowiack. 
  • Tommy Bell finished 1st overall in every meet this year.  Each week Tommy had 99 boys chasing him and he pushed himself and holds the title of undefeated champion for the 2022 season.
