Middle School Clubs

Intramural Kickball - Notre Dame Academy will be hosting intramural sports for middle school students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at the Okell Campus each week from 2:15-3:15pm. Games will be on either Tuesdays or Thursdays. Each child will be placed on a team, and a schedule will be sent home for them for the season.

Newspaper Club - Our NDA middle school students have the opportunity to join the Newspaper Club. We are looking for student writers in grades 6-8 who are interested in contributing to our school newspaper, The NDA Times. We publish articles about school events, student interests, poetry, comics, and more! If you are unable to attend meetings, but you would still like to contribute, please join the NDA Newspaper Google Classroom (see Mrs. Grew for the code). Students are welcome to write and submit articles even if they are unable to attend meetings.

Media Club - Media Club will meet every other Thursday starting Oct 5th. Students in this club will learn all aspects of media broadcasting. We will be producing the morning announcements for both buildings, producing videos, sports reporting and much more.

Yearbook Club - Students will be helping put together the yearbook by taking pictures and designing pages.

Drama Club - Drama Club is for students interested in learning more about the aspects of theater. This includes learning stage terminology, working on acting skills, set building, singing, dancing and costumes/makeup design.
Student Council - Student council is a collective of students that work together to improve Notre Dame Academy and the community around us. Last year student councils planned and facilitated three middle school dances, a food drive, and spirit days. This year we are looking to implement a recycling program, in addition to the initiatives from last year. Student council at the middle school level is composed of two representatives per grade, and then four 8th grade officers. All other middle school students are welcomed to join the meetings which occur the third Wednesday of each month. Meetings will be right after school until 3pm.

Bowling - NDA participates in the Diocesan Bowling League during the Fall. On Tuesdays, during the months of September and October, NDA students in 5th-8th grade go to Abbott Lanes to bowl after school. Our highest performing boy and girl bowlers are invited to represent our school in the Diocesan Bowling Championships, where they bowl against other WNY Diocesan schools
