Welcome Back!

Dear Notre Dame Families,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits as we welcome the start of a new school year. It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that we anticipate the return of your children after the summer break. We have missed their presence and are looking forward to a fulfilling and productive academic year.

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, I would like to provide important information regarding various topics.

• I am delighted to announce some exciting staffing changes for the upcoming school year.  We are blessed as a school to be adding another PK3 classroom led by Ms. Tutko and a third Kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Zielinski.  In addition to this, we also welcome a new religion teacher for grades 2-8, Mrs. Marinaro, who brings a fresh perspective and dedication to our spiritual education program.  Furthermore, we are fortunate to have Ms. Holly, Ms. Jessica and Ms. Zimmermann joining our team as new classroom aides.  Please join me in extending a warm welcome to our new staff members. I am confident that they will contribute to the nurturing and supportive environment we strive to provide for all of our students.
   
• PK3 & PK4: Meet the teacher & supply drop off is scheduled for August 27^th and 28^th. A Sign-up genius will be sent out by your child's teacher. 
   
• K-5^th graders: supply drop off  is scheduled for September 3^rd. Families with last names beginning with A-L are scheduled from 8:00 – 10:00, while those with last names M-Z are scheduled from 11:00 – 1:00.
   
• Middle School orientation and supply drop off is scheduled for August 29^th at the Okell Parish. 
  • 5:30 – 6:30: new students & 6^th graders
  • 6:30 – 7:30: 7^th and 8^th graders
     
• The uniform policy can be found posted on the school’s website. Please note that Tommy Hilfiger clothing purchased online is acceptable, but we will be phasing them out. You can purchase uniforms from McKay’s on Abbott Road in South Buffalo; please consider supporting our local small business. https://www.notredamebuffalo.org/uniformpolicy
   
• Schools start and end times are as follows:
  • Abbott Road: 7:55 - 2:15
  • Okell: 7:40 - 2:00
     
• Aftercare will begin on September 5.
   
• Our PTO is planning a back-to-school picnic for September 6^th.  More information to follow.
