The NDA Times is created by the middle school students of the Newspaper Club and is moderated by Mrs. Grew and Mrs. Zippier. Students aim to inform and entertain our NDA community by writing about topics and issues that matter to them! Article topics range from sports and school events to TV shows, video games, and music. The newspaper also includes original fiction, poetry, and comics written by the students. At the NDA Times, we work hard and hope our NDA community enjoys what we create!
Thank you to all that helped with NDA's Student Council Food Drive. Our goal this year was 2,500 cans as we collected 2,300 last year. We are so beyond proud to say that this year we were able to donate 3,146 cans and food items to a local food pantry. We are so proud of our students passion for giving back to the community.
Each night in the United States, an estimated 600,000 people live on the streets. This October, we want to show that even a small act of love, such as donating a pair of socks, can make a big difference in the lives of our neighbors who are homeless. We are collecting socks for the Response to Love Center.
Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) is back. There have been several cases of this childhood virus in our school. To help prevent HFMD: Wash your hands frequently and always wash your hands after changing diapers, after using the toilet, after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing, and before and after caring for someone who is sick. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
